This is an article in the series on Perimenopause, Burnout & The Nervous System.

The site FindingMeno.com is offered as my humble attempt to show the distillate of what I would have liked to know about perimenopause. Symptoms were so severe that I had very limited energy, all the while I was not even sure yet whether my condition had anything to do with perimenopause at all.
Hoping that it may serve you as a starting point, which you can easily browse, that has topics relevant to you, and that can inform your further reading and research.
Workshop on 19 September 26: Perimenopause-Management 101 (donation based)
I am not a doctor. My background is in favouring a sustainable and healthy lifestyle, since I experienced burnout in my 30’s over two decades ago. Ever since, and by the privilege of finding treatment that actually addressed the root causes, I gradually learned, studied, trained and came to understand how biography, society, body, mind and nervous system interact. These days my courses and classes as a therapeutic yogacarya are focused on relief for burnout and diffuse chronic conditions.
Since a young age I have always been very interested in, and thus reading and studying, relevant findings from neurology and neuropsychology, and I find them increasingly relevant for therapy and lifestyle adjustments, especially the latest research showing the important role digestion, food and brain metabolism have in auto-immune conditions.
My own perimenopause ‘journey’
I experienced a cluster of severe conditions in perimenopause, and was very surprised (to use the diplomatic word) that a) this is common b) many of the expected and unexpected perimenopause problems can be deciphered and treated, but as they span different fields, doctors are often not open to consider them beyond their personal specialisation. E.g. the ob.gyn may not consider ADHD, the psychiatrist who prescribes the ADHD meds may not consider thyroid and long covid, and the general practitioner may insist that all the issues are psychological.
Through exchange with and therapy for many people in the same situation, luckily I have since been able to learn that it is neither in our heads nor too complicated to even fathom; there are many options for diagnosis and treatment for various perimenopause symptoms and comorbidities, even those that seem complicated.
How to use FindingMeno.com
I do suggest you double check each and any information on that site – and in general when it comes to your health, because it is always good to be informed.
No ai was used in the collection of information for the site; it is based on my own experience, writing, structure and context. For occasional grammar check and translation I used ai, sparingly.
