To say that learning chanting has enriched my life would be an understatement.
This is the reason – and invitation – for the upcoming workshops starting this weeks. Around Navaratri time, you can learn about chanting, before deciding if you would like to try it. Then in fall and winter, we will have **community classes** and open classes for beginners.
Chanting is unique as a catalyst for self development. In the free / donation-based workshops, we cover how learning and practicing chanting has the capacity to improve the relationship with ourselves.

“Mananāt trāyate iti mantraḥ” – “That, learning and repeating of which one is protected from all miseries and bondage, is called mantra”, is the definition of the word mantra in Sanskrit.
Vedic chanting is one of the oldest intact oral traditions we know.
It is also an effective form of cognitive training. People who take up chanting often find their mental health and memory improving, their resilience growing, and their voice and expression becoming clearer and steadier overall.
Learning Chanting is an enjoyable way to mature one’s ego and clarity of self expression. It also is a particularly easy way to explore spirituality. Talent or a good singing voice, or subscription to dogma are not required.
